Registration & Headquarters

When you arrive, register from 9:00 to 13:00 at the Law Building (Juridicum)Heger-Tor-Wall 14, room 103. The Law School is marked with a large 22 for University building 22. For help during the conference, go to that room or  email icmc2017@gmail.com."

Conference fee information

Regular Participants: €200

Unsalaried Students1: €100

Online Registration is closed. You can register at the conference, but a late registration fee of + €20 is added. Clarification: The late registration fee applies only if you do not register online by May 31; it does not depend on your choice of payment.

The conference fee is payable by wire transfer or cash in Euros on-site. 

The conference fee includes cold & warm beverages, sweet & savoury snacks during the conference breaks and the conference dinner which will take place on Friday in the brewry Rampendahl.

Taking part in the conference dinner without attending the conference itself is possible for 40€ payable in cash Euros only onsite.

To Osnabrück By Train

InterCity trains from Hamburg-Basel and Amsterdam-Berlin stop in Osnabrück. Additionally, regional trains also offer connections to Osnabrück. Please check the website below for timetables and connections.

Some buses stop directly at the main train station; all other buses leave from the bus stop “Neumarkt”, located at the city centre, which is a 10-minute walk away.

To Osnabrück By Car

You can reach Osnabrück via motorways A1 (Hamburg - Dortmund), A30 (Amsterdam – Bad Oeyenhausen), A33 (Diepholz – Bielefeld). Exit no. 16 on the A30 (Osnabrück – Hellern) is closest to the university.

Please note that to protect the environment, only cars with a green sticker (“Umweltplakette”) may drive in the city centre.

To Osnabrück By Plane

Münster / Osnabrück Int. Airport (FMO)

Although no transatlantic carriers land directly at Münster Osnabrück airport (FMO) itself, there are numerous domestic carriers that fly regularly from most major German cities (e.g. Frankfurt, Berlin, Stuttgart, Munich), as well as many continental European locations. You can download the most current flight schedule from the airport’s website.


The  X150 Express Bus travels to Osnabrück – the journey takes under 40 minutes, and costs €10-11. Please consult the following website for departure times from the airport: http://www.vos.info/service-angebot/freizeitangebot/x150-expressbus/

The X150 stops at several bus stops throughout Osnabrück; please check which one is closest to your hotel.


Bremen Int. Airport (BRE)

Bremen International Airport is also close to Osnabrück, but it also has no direct transatlantic flights. Many discount airlines -- such as Ryan Air -- fly to Bremen from cities around Europe. Bremen Airport is a seven minute tram ride on the S-6 to Bremen main train station (Hauptbahnhof). Intercity Express, Intercity trains (ICE & IC) and regional trains (RE) leave regularly from the main train station to Osnabrück and take approximately 60 minutes.

(ranked in order of the travel time it takes to reach Osnabrück)

Hannover Airport (HAJ):

Take the local commuter train S5 (S-Bahn) to Hannover Hauptbahnhof (main train station). The S5 leaves the airport every 30 minutes, and takes 15 minutes to reach Hannover Hauptbahnof. From Hannover Hauptbahnof, intercity trains (IC) leave hourly for Osnabrück.

IC train time to Osnabrück: approx. 1 hour.


Düsseldorf Airport (DUS):

Take the sky train in the terminals to the Düsseldorf Flughafen Bahnhof. From Düsseldorf Flughafen Bahnhof, intercity trains (IC) or regional trains (RE) with connections leave hourly to Osnabrück.

IC train time to Osnabrück: btwn. 2 and 2.5 hours, depending on connections.


Hamburg Airport (HAM):

The S1 local commuter train (S-Bahn) leaves directly from the airport terminal with trains every ten minutes to Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (Hamburg central station). The S1 takes approximately 25 minutes to reach Hamburg Hauptbahnhof. From Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, take an intercity (IC) or intercity express (ICE) train to Osnabrück. Trains to Osnabrück leave every 40-50 minutes.

IC / ICE train time to Osnabrück: 2-2.5 hours.

Cologne / Bonn Airport (CGN):

Take the S13 local commuter train (the S-Bahn) to Köln Hauptbahnhof (Cologne central station). The S13 leaves the airport approximately every 20 min., and takes 15 minutes to reach Köln Hauptbahnhof. From Köln Hauptbahnhof, intercity trains (IC) leave hourly for Osnabrück.

IC train time to Osnabrück: approx. 2.5 hours.

Berlin Tegel (TXL):

Take Bus "TXL" from Berlin Tegel to Berlin Hauptbahnhof (central station). Bus TXL leaves the airport every 10 minutes, and takes 20 minutes to reach Berlin Hauptbahnhof. From Berlin Hauptbahnhof, intercity trains (IC) leave hourly for Osnabrück.

IC train time to Osnabrück: btwn. 3.5 and 4 hours.

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS):

Take an intercity train (IC) that leaves directly from Shiphol Airport. IC trains with connections to Osnabrück leave the airport hourly.

IC train time to Osnabrück: 3.5- 5 hours, depending on connections.


Frankfurt Airport (FRA):

Take an intercity express train (ICE) or intercity train (IC) that leave directly from Frankfurt Airport train station ("Fernbahnhof"). ICE trains with connections to Osnabrück via Colonge or Dortmund leave the airport every 30 minutes.

ICE train time to Osnabrück: btwn. 3 and 4.5 hours, depending on connections.


Munich Airport (MUC):

Take the S1 or S8 local commuter train (S-Bahn) to München Hauptbahnhof (Munich central station). Both the S1 and S8 go to Hauptbahnhof, and leave the airport every 10 minutes. From München Hauptbahnhof, intercity express trains (ICE) leave hourly for Osnabrück.

ICE train time to Osnabrück: btwn. 5.5 to 7 hours, depending on connections.
